Open collar, slightly snug and tailored fit? There’s a reason why there’s an entire romance book trope about handsome men in a henley shirt, and this design is no exception. When I asked Todd (my husband) what type of sweater he wanted this year, he immediately mentioned this classic design – since he’s also a romance
reader. Pssst our book recommendation to pair with this sweater is “The Love Hypothesis” from Ali Hazelwood! 

Knit in the round, this seamless sweater is knit in a bottom-up style and has 0-2 inches of negative ease. You will cast on for the bottom hem, work up to the under arms and then split for the front and back panels. The collar is then split and then shaped in the front. Once finished, you will work the back panel and finish with a seamless three needle bind-off. The collar is then picked up in 3 sections and worked in a rib stitch. Finally, the arms are picked up and worked in the round down to the cuff.

This pattern is written in 9 sizes – XS (S, M, L, XL) (2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL). It is suggested that you highlight your size, so you know which stitch count to follow.

  sleeves + collar
