Description Provided by Brianna Mason
This Light Edition of the Brora Pullover is a simple design, knitted in one piece from the top down in a circular yoke fashion. The paired back nature of this sweater allows the yarn’s characteristics to shine. The light yarn weight makes a breezy sweater perfect for year round wearing.
CONSTRUCTION
—
The Brora Pullover Light is worked top-down in the round, beginning with a tubular cast on and 1x1 ribbed collar The stitches increase gradually and invisibly throughout the circular yoke. The sleeve stitches are placed on hold while the body is worked and finished with a split ribbed hem and tubular bind off. The sleeve stitches are placed back on the needles, gradually decreasing to the cuff and finishing with a ribbed cuff and tubular bind off, repeating for the other sleeve.

—
This is a written pattern assuming foundational sweater knitting knowledge and is not intended to be beginner friendly. Supplemental research or practice to learn new skills may be required to complete this project.
This pattern requires a working knowledge of: knitting & purling both flat & in the round, german short row shaping, increasing, decreasing, picking up stitches, tubular cast on and bind off.
Circular needles are used to work flat and in the round throughout the project, starting with 16” (40 cm) for the cast-on. The sleeves are made with the 16” (40 cm) cable length, DPNS, or magic loop.
Cast-on, bind-off, and short row methods suggested in this pattern are able to be substituted with any other method.
